Software Engineer in Test - Automation @Oracle

As an integral member of Oracle Commerce development team, candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining our automated testing solutions

Responsibilities:

• Develop functional and regression automated test solutions using QTP, Selenium or other reliable open source tools.
• Develop and maintain automation suite throughout the entire product life cycle.
• Diagnose problems reported as part of the automated test execution and report bugs or enhancements to development.
• Coordinate with QA Leads during automation scoping to ensure that the test cases are well designed and automatable to ensure maximum coverage is attained through automation.
• Actively communicate test progress, results and other relevant information to project stakeholders.
• Flexible enough in taking up any technical task related to automation and perform necessary coordination with corresponding teams in accomplishing the task.
• Actively participate in all automation framework and process enhancement discussions and provide necessary recommendations.
• Assess any technical and process issues identified as part of the automation effort and escalate it to management with necessary resolution to resolve the issue.
• Work and coordinate with offshore team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on quality assurance and test automation experience.
• Must be proficient in Java programming.
• Atleast 1 year of working experience on QTP & Selenium.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automating a multi-tier web based application built in Java/J2EE, Flex Technologies.
• Good understanding of Web based service-level interaction.
• Ability to review and perform analysis on system specifications and correctly interpret business and technical rules and identify any gaps.
• Ability to evaluate test processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.

Knowledge on Continuous Integration Systems like Crucible, Bamboo etc.
